when life hits, Duaa is the best weapon

Allah “Swt” says:
“Whenever My servant asks of Me, tell him I am near.  I answer the invocation of the invoker when he invokes Me; so, let them respond with obedience to Me, and let them believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided the right way.” (Quran 2:186)
Duaa is the most powerful tool that the believer has, Duaa has the unique ability to change destiny! yet it is one of the most misunderstood acts of worship. Sometimes we become desperate for an answer and other times we get cynical because we do not get answers for our Duaa!
Firstly, one should bear in mind that Duaa, just like everything in life, has rulings and etiquette that must be fulfilled.
The Messenger of Allah “saw” said, “Whenever a Muslim supplicates Allah, He accepts his supplication or averts any similar kind of trouble from him until he prays for something sinful or something that may break the ties of kinship.” Upon this, someone of the Companions said: “Then we shall supplicate plenty.” The Messenger of Allah “pbuh” said, “Allah is more plentiful (in responding).” [At- Tirmidhi].
So, what we can understand from this beautiful Hadith is that a dua can result in the following:
Allah will answer immediately. Allah will postpone it for a better time and we’ll be rewarded for the patience. It will be rejected because Allah knows what’s best for us and it can help ward off harm in Dunya or in the hereafter!
